Velvet Collective was launching as a direct-to-consumer luxury fashion brand. They needed an identity and digital storefront that could compete with established luxury houses while communicating their unique position: contemporary designs rooted in traditional European craftsmanship. The challenge was creating a brand that felt both exclusive and accessible, modern yet timeless.
We developed the brand identity in parallel with the e-commerce experience, ensuring every touchpoint — from the logo to the checkout flow — told a cohesive story. The visual language draws from the contrast between raw materials and refined garments, using texture and negative space as primary design elements.
The Velvet Collective brand launched to immediate critical attention. The identity system — built around a custom logotype and a restrained palette of charcoal, cream, and muted gold — communicates understated luxury. The e-commerce experience prioritizes editorial storytelling over traditional product grids, with each collection presented as a narrative chapter.
